Wounds can be both costly and painful. We understand this. Our caring healing experts help personalize your individual wound-care needs. Aultman Alliance offers an approach to healing that includes Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and biological skin equivalents, along with two of the three largest monoplace chambers in the state of Ohio, allowing patients to sit up and move around during treatments.

Wound & Ostomy Care

Most of our patients come in for 2 hours of treatment 5 days a week for 20 to 40 treatment sessions. The staff:

  • examines the wound, asks general health questions and reviews your medical history
  • conducts necessary specialized test to determine how to best treat your wound
  • designs a treatment program based on your specific needs

Successful healing depends on a patient keeping appointments, monitoring progress and following home care instructions.

Hyperbaric Therapy 

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is the administration of 100% oxygen in a pressurized environment. The therapy works throughout your entire body as the increased level of oxygen enters the blood and body tissue. HBOT is an effective adjunctive therapy used in conjunction with our advanced wound care.

Treatments are approximately 2 hours long and 5 days a week. Most patients will undergo 1 to 4 months of treatment, depending on their response to the treatment. During treatment, patients are free to nap, listen to music, or watch TV or a DVD. Hyperbaric Therapy is not painful.
